Terms of Service

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These terms apply to businesses that list on skylinewars.com. By signing in and claiming a floor or placing a bid, you agree to them. Questions: [email protected].

1. What a floor is

Each tower has 20 floors for one city and industry. A floor shows your business name, tagline and a link to your website for one calendar month. Floor position is paid placement ranked by bid, not a rating, review or endorsement of your business.

2. Prices

Floors 1–15 have a fixed monthly price: floor 1 is 99, and each floor up adds 10 (floor 15 is 239). Floors 16–20 are auctioned with a minimum bid of 300, in whole-dollar amounts. To place a bid above another bid in the same tower, you must beat it by at least: 20 for bids under 500, 50 under 1,000, 100 under 3,000, 200 under 5,000, 500 under 10,000, and 1,000 from 10,000 up. No two businesses can hold the same amount. Canadian towers are billed in CAD; US towers are billed in USD. Prices exclude applicable taxes.

3. The monthly calendar (Eastern Time)

4. Bids

A bid is a binding offer to pay that amount for the month if it wins. Bids can be raised but not lowered or withdrawn once placed. You are only charged for the floor you hold when bidding closes. If you're outbid from floors 16–20, you move to the highest open floor below and pay that floor's regular price, never more than your bid. If no floor is open, you pay nothing and join that tower's waitlist. If your payment fails, the floor goes to the next bidder.

Each Google account can have one business, and a business can hold one floor per tower per month: if you're bidding on floors 16–20 in a tower, you can't also claim a fixed floor there, and the other way around.

5. Listings

Listings go live as soon as you set up your business. We may remove listings that are illegal, misleading, offensive, link to unsafe sites, or break professional advertising rules that apply to you (for example, rules from law societies, real estate regulators or health regulators). You're responsible for making sure your listing follows the rules for your profession. If we remove a listing for breaking these terms, we may not refund the month.

6. No guaranteed results

We report clicks on your floor (each visitor counts once per hour, and your own clicks aren't counted), but we don't guarantee any number of visitors, leads or sales.

7. Refunds

If we can't show your floor for reasons within our control, we'll refund the affected days. Otherwise, monthly charges are non-refundable.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will email business accounts before changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
